Where to Buy a Massage Chair in NZ: Top Stores, Showrooms & Buying Tips (2026 Guide)
Oct
Buying a massage chair is a big decision, especially when you want something that feels right for your body and fits your budget. Good Massage NZ is one of the strongest places to buy a massage chair in New Zealand if you want to compare models in person, test different massage styles and have local support after your purchase. Its Auckland showrooms give shoppers the chance to try different chairs before deciding, while nationwide delivery and a 5-year warranty make it easier to buy from outside Auckland.
For Auckland shoppers, the Northcote outlet is particularly worth visiting: it is promoted as Auckland’s largest massage chair outlet, with more than 50 models available to explore.
What Should You Look for When Buying a Massage Chair?
Before choosing a retailer, look at three things: whether you can test the chairs, how much choice you have, and what support you’ll receive after buying.
1. Can You Try the Chair Before Buying?
A chair can look perfect online and still feel wrong once you sit in it. Your height, shoulder position, leg length, body shape and preferred massage pressure can all affect how it feels.
Good Massage specifically encourages customers to experience its chairs in-store rather than making a decision based only on specifications. Its buyer’s guide explains that two people can have very different experiences in the same chair.
2. Does the Retailer Have Different Models?
A good showroom should give you options across different budgets and technologies.
Good Massage offers models across different budgets and technology levels, from the value-focused Noven Plus and Noven Pro to the 4D Healer X and premium Coupe One Dual-core AI.
3. What Is Included After the Sale?
Don’t only compare the purchase price.
Ask about:
- Warranty
- Delivery
- Installation or setup
- Technical assistance
- Repairs
- Replacement parts
- Customer support
Good Massage provides local service, a 5-year nationwide warranty and free nationwide delivery. Buyers should still check the specific warranty terms for their chosen model before purchasing. Warranty terms can vary by model, so buyers should confirm the coverage for the chair they select.

Noven Plus – A High-Value Everyday Option
Current price: NZ$3,450
If you’re buying your first massage chair and don’t want to spend close to NZ$6,000 or NZ$10,000 , the Noven Plus is the natural starting point in the Good Massage range. It is aimed at buyers who want an everyday full-body massage experience without moving into the higher-priced models.
Good Massage positions it as a high-value family massage chair suitable for everyday relaxation, back support, foot relief and stress recovery.
Noven Plus is best for:
- First-time massage chair buyers
- Families looking for an everyday relaxation chair
- Buyers who want to keep their budget around NZ$3,500
- Shoppers who prioritise value over premium technology

Noven Pro – A Step Up for Everyday Use
Current price: NZ$3,950
If the Noven Plus feels like the starting point, the Noven Pro is the next step up for buyers who want more adjustability and technology without jumping straight to a premium-priced chair. It is particularly worth considering if you want a more advanced everyday massage experience while still keeping your budget below NZ$4,000.
The current model includes a 3D massage mechanism, a 119 cm SL track, adaptive airbags and adjustable massage depth, giving buyers more control over how the massage feels.
Noven Pro is best for:
- Buyers with a budget of around NZ$4,000
- People who want more adjustability than an entry-level chair
- Everyday home use
- Buyers comparing 3D massage technology
- Homes where space is an important consideration
If you’re deciding between the Noven Plus and Noven Pro, it is worth testing both rather than choosing purely from specifications. The extra features may be worthwhile if you prefer a more adjustable massage.

Healer X 4D – Best for Advanced 4D Massage
Current price: NZ$5,850
If 4D massage technology is high on your wish list, the Healer X 4D is the model to look at first. At NZ$5,850, it sits between the more affordable Noven models and the premium Coupe One, making it a strong option for buyers who want advanced massage technology without moving into the highest price bracket.
The Healer X combines 4D massage technology with smart sensing and is designed to provide a more dynamic massage experience across the body.
Healer X 4D is best for:
- Buyers specifically looking for 4D massage
- Families sharing a massage chair
- People who want a step up from 3D technology
- Buyers looking for a balance between technology and price
- Customers planning to use their chair regularly
If your priority is finding the best 4D option within the Good Massage range, the Healer X deserves to be near the top of your shortlist.

Coupe One – Premium Dual-Core AI Experience
Current price: NZ$9,950
If budget is less of a concern and you’re specifically interested in advanced AI technology, the Coupe One Dual-core AI Massage Chair is the premium option in this comparison.
It combines dual-core AI and dual-movement technology with a smart dual-door design, making it a very different proposition from the more affordable Noven models and the 4D-focused Healer X.
Coupe One is best for:
- Buyers with a premium budget
- People interested in AI-powered massage technology
- Shoppers looking for a flagship model
- Buyers who want a more advanced home massage experience
- Households willing to pay more for additional technology and features
At almost NZ$10,000, this isn’t the chair we’d recommend simply because it is the most expensive. It makes the most sense for someone who specifically wants the technology and premium experience it offers.

If price is your priority, start with the Noven Plus. If you want more adjustability around NZ$4,000, compare the Noven Pro. For 4D massage, start with the Healer X. For premium dual-core AI technology, look at the Coupe One.
What Should You Test Before Buying a Massage Chair?
Specifications can tell you what a massage chair has, but they cannot completely tell you how it will feel.
When you visit a showroom, test:
Shoulder Position
Make sure the massage mechanism sits comfortably around your shoulders and neck.
Massage Strength
Try different intensity settings. A chair that feels comfortable at one setting may feel very different at another.
Back Coverage
Pay attention to how the massage moves across your upper, middle and lower back.
Feet and Legs
If foot and calf massage is important to you, spend time testing these areas rather than focusing only on the back.
Reclining
Check how comfortable the chair is when reclined and whether you have enough room in your home.
Ease of Use
Try the controls and make sure you understand how to start programmes, adjust settings and change intensity.
Compare More Than One Chair
Don’t sit in one chair for two minutes and make a decision. If you’re comparing models, spend enough time in each to test pressure, roller movement, leg massage, recline and the intensity you’d realistically use at home. A chair that feels impressive on its strongest setting may not be the one you find most comfortable after 10–15 minutes.
Where Can You Try Good Massage Chairs in Auckland?
If you’re spending several thousand dollars on a massage chair, trying it first is worth the trip. Two chairs can have similar specifications on paper but feel completely different once you sit in them.
Good Massage currently has showrooms in Northcote and Manukau, where shoppers can try different models and speak with the local team.
Good Massage Northcote — Auckland’s Largest Massage Chair Outlet
4 Gladstone Road, Northcote, Auckland 0627

The Manukau showroom allows customers to test massage chairs and speak with the local team about their options. Free parking and trial appointments are available.
What About Delivery and Warranty?
A massage chair is large and heavy, so delivery is an important part of the buying decision.
Good Massage provides free nationwide delivery and a 5-year nationwide warranty.
This is particularly useful for buyers outside Auckland who may not have access to a local massage-chair showroom.
The company also promotes after-sales support and local service assistance.
